HP to Manage the Global Technology Environment for Sara Lee Corporation

Hewlett-Packard Co. has announced it entered a seven-year infrastructure services contract with Sara Lee Corporation to manage its global technology environment. The agreement follows Sara Lee’s initiative to make global transformations in all its businesses throughout the globe. This effort is expected to increase operational efficiencies and reduce costs.

HP will be extending this agreement up to 2015 which also includes the management of Sara Lee’s infrastructure technology in North America in order to make this a fully global contract.
 
As per the agreement, HP will be upgrading Sara Lee’s infrastructure technology in Atlanta to HP’s next-generation data center technology. This automated environment will offer the latest infrastructure management and automation delivered as a service for Sara Lee.

This new agreement is based on good relations between HP and Sara Lee since 2000. For the past eight years HP has provided optimum services for supporting Sara Lee’s technology infrastructure in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Asia besides Sara Lee’s end-user environment worldwide.

“This new agreement with HP helps Sara Lee to increase efficiencies and further supports our goal of operational excellence,” said Steve Merry, senior vice president and chief information officer, Sara Lee Corporation. “Over the past eight years, HP has consistently been a trusted partner that understands how technology can help us achieve our business objectives.”
