InforSense, a provider of enterprise business intelligence and reporting software, has just signed a deal with
NorDx, an independent clinical lab in the U.S. northeast and a member of the MaineHealth system. The new partnership will help InforSense save considerable time over the previous manual processes and also recognize opportunities for revenue improvement.
NorDx has been offering comprehensive and reliable laboratory services to hospitals, networks, physician offices, post-acute and long-term care providers, managed care organizations, and employer groups throughout the region.
InforSense has established a strong customer base of reputed organizations in clinical research and customers in healthcare, including NorDx. As per the terms of this agreement, NorDx will use the InforSense system.
"We can integrate Patient Data from our Laboratory Information System with Insurance Information from our billing system and automatically generate reports on a monthly basis," said Denis Rochette, director of IT at NorDx. "These reports are used by one of NorDx's strategic clients for their Patient Care System to improve the health and well being of patients."
Rochette also mentioned that the system is proving to be very effective and easy-to-use.
For NorDx, InforSense will offer data extract from billing, laboratory results, patient and cost data sources, as well as create and load data charts to enable analysis for quality measurements.
Additionally, assessment of pay for performance goals and payment of payer reimbursements are also offered. The system also automates the generation of clinical, reimbursement and billing reports for the 35,000 patients and over 200,000 in addition to the tests performed each month.

NorDx was established in 1976 as the first licensed independent clinical laboratory in Maine.
