Integra Telecom Selects BillSoft's EZTax Product Line

Integra Telecom, a facilities-based, integrated communications carrier, said that it has selected BillSoft’s EZTax product line to “accurately” tax their communications services. 

 

To provide a billing and taxing platform, the company has integrated EZTax, a comprehensive transaction tax package, into its billing operations, said company officials.

 

“As we evaluated our options, we looked for a best-in-class taxation tool and BillSoft’s (News - Alert) EZTax service delivered,” said Julie Rouzee, chief information officer at Integra Telecom, adding that BillSoft was the “clear choice” for the company.

 

The deployment of BillSoft’s EZTax product suite allows Integra to deliver service using a comprehensive transaction tax system available. BillSoft officials said that the existing billing system of Integra is integrated with EZTax integrates to calculate numerous jurisdictional taxes with the tax-rating engine.

 

Integra has deployed a series of BillSoft solutions to enhance its tax process. The first of which is BillSoft’s flagship tax calculation product EZTax. In addition, other products utilized by Integra are EZTax Viewer, EZTax Bundler, and EZTax Rate & Logic Modifier (RLM). 

 

Officials said that the EZTax Viewer offers Integra with a tax reference tool for the latest tax rate information in every jurisdiction within the United States and 85 plus countries, while based on Integra’s specific requirements, EZTax RLM provides the flexibility to make rate and/or logic modifications.

 

On the other hand, for tax calculation, the EZTax Bundler allows Integra to create bundled service offerings. Officials said that the Bundler systematically taxes each component of the bundled service and returns summarized results to the billing system.

Earlier in October, NexUSTel, a provider of prepaid international call termination services to Central and South America and Caribbean countries, selected BillSoft’s EZTax product line to accurately tax their communications services and effectively manage their taxation requirements.
