ArcSoft MediaImpression Now Supports AVCHD Camcorders

ArcSoft, Inc., a provider of digital imaging technologies and multimedia solutions for device manufacturers, announced that the company’s media management tool, MediaImpression, now supports Advanced Video Codec High Definition (AVCHD), a high-definition and standard-definition recording format used in digital tapeless camcorders.

This announcement from the company has helped users to now import videos from their AVCHD camcorders onto their PCs, play or create custom movies by combining videos, photos, music, and theme.

"We're pleased to offer MediaImpression users an all-in-one tool for their high-definition content," said Frank Feng, ArcSoft (News - Alert) Vice president of Digital Multimedia Services and Solutions Group.

"With this updated program, users are able to manage and edit their AVCHD video, share it by uploading to Video sharing site, and author on VCD/DVD."

MediaImpression from ArcSoft allows the users to easily create and share projects featuring their own photos, videos, and music files. The tool is so flexible that users can even edit, enhance and add creative effects to their photos. They can create their own movies or photo slideshows, along with soundtrack.

The tool also allows users to upload their files easily to YouTube (News - Alert)! or even share them with friends or family through simple email attachments, photo sharing sites, or archive to a CD/DVD disc. Additionally, users can order Photo Book, Photo Prints, Mug, Canvas, T-shirt, Puzzle and Mouse Pad directly within the application.

Advanced Video Codec High Definition uses the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 video compression codec to record video. It uses highly efficient codec technologies to record 1080i and 720p signals on camcorders.

ArcSoft MediaImpression with support for AVCHD is currently available for OEM licensing. To learn more about MediaImpression visit http://www.arcsoft.com.
