VARs and IT administrators can remotely monitor their networks with the Tiger Access Managed Services Platform. Alerts are received on potential issues and equipment failures so that administrators can proactively rectify the problem avoiding downtime.
The platform supports comprehensive asset management by hardware and software audits. It maintains network operations by automatically deploying firmware updates to SMC managed network devices and conducting patch management on client PCs.
Administrators use a secure Web portal to access their deployed Managed Service Platforms for conducting reporting and management functions from any where and at any time. Such functions include network monitoring, audits and computer inventory, remote desktop management, network policy enforcement, trouble ticketing, patch management, software deployment, backup and disaster recovery, and other administrative functions.
“Our VAR partners in particular are very enthusiastic about the launch of our new Managed Services Platform because it provides them with a robust, feature-rich managed service solution that integrates seamlessly with our family of high-performance, reliable managed switches enabling them to provide an unparalleled level of business continuity and peace-of-mind to their small- and medium-sized business clients,” noted Keith Alexis, vice president of sales for SMC Networks (
