Tektronix Opens New Serial Test and Measurement Center in Santa Clara

Tektronix, Inc. providing test, measurement and monitoring instrumentation opened a serial test and measurement center in Santa Clara, California taking the number of such centers to five. All the centers are equipped with latest test and measurement technology. The Santa Clara Technology Center will become a venue for demonstrations involving high-speed serial data test technology and methodologies. Firms can also receive assistance regarding testing of their serial data designs.

 

For developing new high speed serial technologies like Serial ATA Revision 3.0, PCI Express 2.0 and PCI Express 3.0, SuperSpeed USB, HDMI CTS1.3, and DisplayPort 1.1a design engineers have to process huge volumes of data with high signaling complexities. Testing of new devices with these technologies necessitates sophisticated testing equipment and methodologies. This will require advanced hardware, application software, probes and other test accessories.

The testing center in Santa Clara will be used by Tektronix to conduct group training sessions which will help engineers develop their high-speed serial data designs.
