Avnet Technology Solutions Authorized to Distribute Sonasoft Software Solutions

Avnet Technology Solutions, a distributor of IT products and services in more than 30 countries, has just signed a distribution agreement with Sonasoft Corporation, a provider of SonaSafe integrated backup, high availability and disaster recovery software.

 

As per the terms of the agreement, Avnet will distribute Sonasoft's (News - Alert) Point-Click RecoveryR software for Microsoft Exchange, SQL and Windows File Systems both as a standalone software product and as part of a fully integrated appliance solution using HP servers.

 

"Sonasoft brings tremendous knowledge in backup/recovery, high availability and disaster recovery for Microsoft (News - Alert) Exchange, SQL and Windows servers," said Rick Alvarez, vice president and general manager at Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, HP Solutions group.

 

"SonaSafe products are a great fit for Avnet's HP solutions business. Our HP team will work closely with Sonasoft to identify sales opportunities for our channel partners and bring them the resources they need to be successful in their target markets," added Alvarez.

 

Established in 2002, Sonasoft has been offering software-based solutions with integrated backup and recovery, replication and email archiving functionality. The key features of its SonaSafe software include disaster recovery, protection for data in virtual servers, support for e-mail archiving, offer reliable information for legal discovery and investigations, remote management, failover or failback, performance and security monitoring and total business protection.

 

Sonasoft recently announced the expansion of its channel program, where the company will help all its new and existing Sonasoft partners acquire new customers.
