Comtech PST Corporation, an independent supplier of broadband, high power, high performance RF microwave amplifiers, has secured a $1.5 million order for high power broadband amplifiers for an airborne electronic warfare application from a domestic prime contractor.
Officials at Comtech PST Corporation, which is a subsidiary of
Comtech Telecommunications Corporation, said that these amplifiers utilize the latest solid state transistor technology that provides for very broad frequency coverage, and are key components in jamming systems manufactured by the customer.

Officials at Comtech said that these high power antenna switches are key components in countermeasure systems manufactured by the company’s customer for U.S. Army and Navy aircraft.

The Ka-band amplifier would be a high-efficiency design for use in U.S.A.F. airborne platforms.
Xicom Technology, a major player in high power amplifiers, manufactures a wide variety of tube-based and solid-state amplifiers for military and commercial satellite uplink applications.
