EBillingHub, Professional Plus Partner for Legal Billings

EBillingHub, a vendor of electronic billing products for law firms, has announced a partnership with Professional Plus Solutions, a technology consulting firm, where Professional Plus will provide eBillingHub service implementations and best practices for legal electronic billing projects for eBillingHub clients.

 

Additionally, eBillingHub will provide training and support to Professional Plus Solutions consulting teams as they implement electronic billing products and best practices for law firms. “Partnering with Professional Plus Solutions allows customers to work with a local professional services provider,” said Alan Himler, Senior Vice President of eBillingHub.

 

It’s a fast-growing field -- in August, TMC reported that Tribridge, a Microsoft (News - Alert) consulting company, acquired Virtual Enterprise Electronic Law Office, a vendor of billing and accounting products for law firms.

 

Founded in 2001, Veelo sells software, training, backup, upgrades and maintenance products for customers. Under the terms of the acquisition, Veelo was renamed Tribridge Legal. "Company founders and team members will fill a variety of leadership and sales positions at Tribridge," according to Tribridge officials.

 

"The business of practicing law often depends on the revenue generated from billable hours. Effectively managing this process can be a time-consuming and overwhelming task for both lawyers and the accounting personnel who support them," said Tony DiBenedetto, Tribridge CEO.

 

On that, all seem to agree. “E-billing is an increasingly important process for our clients,” said Niamh Eadie, Chief Executive of Professional Plus Solutions. “Our partnership with eBillingHub matches our business approach to technology consulting.”

 

Eadie said his company’s Solutions Implementation group already implements legal applications such as Elite and Aderant. Company officials describe the eBillingHub product as one that “helps law firms speed up the collections process, reduce the complexity of electronic invoice submissions, eliminate billing backlogs and common submission errors, and minimize or eliminate the need for additional staff to administer electronic billing.”

 

Initially released in 2004, eBillingHub uses a service-oriented architecture and Web services standards for its integration with practice management systems such as Elite, a ThomsonReuters Business, Aderant and RainMaker.
