WWT Achieves Both DCNI and DCSN Specializations From Cisco

World Wide Technology (News - Alert) (WWT) said that it has earned both the Advanced Data Center Networking Infrastructure (DCNI) specialization and Advanced Data Center Storage Networking (DCSN) specialization from Cisco (News - Alert) Systems.

DCNI specialization from Cisco highlights WWT’s data center networking capabilities requiring advanced product knowledge. In addition, it confirms the company’s ability to deploy solutions over multiple sites and geographies.

Moreover, this specialization also highlights WWT understanding of complex data center routing and switching, fiber channel, 10GB Ethernet and Cisco’s new unified network Nexus product line.

On the other hand, Cisco’s DCSN specialization recognizes WWT’s ability to deploy and support scalable and available multi-protocol solutions. The solutions can either be centrally located or distributed by using traditional IP Networks.

Additionally, both these specializations serve to set WWT apart from competitors in the company’s ability to deliver data center networking solutions using IP as the transport technology. The transport technology spans the distance from a customer’s premises to their network core.

“WWT is proud to be recognized by Cisco for our expertise and ability to design, deploy and support distributed centrally managed data center solutions, including both infrastructure and applications for our clients,” said Tony Berg, data center business development manager at WWT, in a statement.

He also said that as one of only a handful of companies in the world to hold numerous Cisco certifications, adding these specializations emphasizes the company’s dedication to continuous training and ability to offer advanced data center technologies and professional services to the clients.

WWT is a systems integrator that provides technology and supply chain solutions to the commercial, government and telecom sectors. The company helps its customers manage the planning, procurement and deployment of IT products and solutions

The company is also a Cisco Gold-Certified Channel Partner (News - Alert) with over $1 billion in Cisco sales. Reportedly, the company ranks as the “largest supplier” of Cisco networking and communications solutions to the U.S. government.

Currently, WWT has more than 100 Cisco-certified engineers and over 500 Cisco certifications in advanced Cisco technologies.
