Pax Joins Megger Group for Transformer Test Product Line

Megger Group reportedly has announced a plan to acquire Pax Diagnostics of Sweden.

 

Pax transformer testing and insulation diagnostics products will add to the Megger range of test instruments, according to the companies.

 

The Pax IDAX range of Dielectric Frequency Response Analyzers measures moisture in power transformers and tests insulation material in different power system products. The IDAX300 is the new generation in the IDA (News - Alert)/IDAX range of instruments and has good weight-performance ratio. With its design, the test set is three times smaller and lighter and performs insulation characterization which is double compared to its previous IDA200.

 

The Pax FRAX range of Sweep Frequency Response Analysis products can detect electromechanical changes inside power transformers, and have high measurement range and accuracy.
