IBM Expands eDiscovery Portfolio with eDiscovery Analyzer

IBM (News - Alert) has just launched eDiscovery Analyzer, a new conceptual search and content analysis software for legal professionals.
 
eDiscovery or Electronic Discovery is a process of using electronic data that can act as a valued proof for legal or criminal cases. In short, it’s a discovery of resources regarding electronic evidences. IBM’s eDiscovery is an Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software is designed to allow users meet challenging legal discovery requirements.
 
The recently launched IBM eDiscovery Analyzer provides conceptual search and analysis of cases created by IBM eDiscovery Manager, a solution for email which manages electronic discovery and optimizes litigation response. IBM eDiscovery Analyzer, and IBM eDiscovery Manager together accelerates the entire process of eDiscovery platform.
 
IBM says that Toyota Financial Services, a provider of automotive financial services, is using the IBM eDiscovery Solution to address its growing e-mail management and legal discovery requirements. Toyota Financial was looking to having a strategic solution that could be used as a content repository for human resource documentation and correspondence, and to support the human resource department for litigation needs. With the combined IBM-Neocol offering, Toyota Financial Services can now collect and archive more than 1.3 million email and attachments in a single and secure repository.
 
“IBM and Neocol UK (an IBM Information Management Business Partner ) provided us with the solution that we were looking for to meet our eDiscovery needs,” said Hemant Sohoni, Toyota Financial Services (UK) PLC.
 
“Our clients are looking for a more effective way to collect, store, manage and retrieve their information,” said Ken Bisconti, vice president, product and strategy, IBM Enterprise Content Management.
 
Bisconti also mentioned that the new solution is built upon IBM’s complete ECM platform to provide a new approach to the process of eDiscovery. With the added capabilities of the new IBM eDiscovery Analyzer, organizations can now obtain detailed insight into discovered content early on in the process and help improve their legal strategy and reduce cost.
