Telos Completes Installation of Navy Regional Enterprise Messaging System

Telos Corporation, the company which has been providing IT solutions and services to the federal government for more than 30 years, has successfully completed the installation work of the Navy Regional Enterprise Messaging System (NREMS) for the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), a member of the Naval Acquisition Enterprise (NAE).

The value of this order is estimated to be $1.7 million.

The NREMS is installed at two regional communications nodes, the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station (NCTAMS) Pacific and the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Atlantic. The system is aimed to support the Navy's on shore messaging capability.

Orders issued under the NETCENTS contract vehicle at Gunter Air Force Base, include software licenses and installation of the Telos Automated Message Handling System (AMHS). NETCENTS - the Network Centric Solutions is an Air Force contract which embraces current and future network-centric information technology requirements and ensures interoperability through standards-based technology.

Telos is a prime contractor on the 5-year, $9 billion Network Centric Solutions (NETCENTS) contract vehicle.

"These task orders will bring consolidation of messaging support to both the Pacific and Atlantic regions," said Mike Masters, vice president of Secure Messaging Solutions for Telos.

Telos Automated Message Handling System is a Web-based messaging system and is the next generation of the Defense Message System (DMS) which can simplify configuration management, system administration and the customer interface to the Department of Defense (DoD) record messaging system.

"The installation of AMHS will also improve secure communications across key Naval organizations in those regions,” added Masters.
