The version 1.2 of the product enhances the use of familiar consumer IT technology to help Business People create competitive advantages giving them access to business data - without altering the infrastructure of the company.

It extends the Performance Canvas platform for all mobile devices, adds enhanced web services integration opportunities and advanced graphing options, optimizing every process with easy-to-use, yet very advanced Business Intelligence (BI) tools, while remaining in Business Context.

Aimed at augmenting the fundamental design of Business Intelligence chosen by organizations, DSP Performance Canvas product creates sustainable competitive advantage by letting business people collaborate and add knowledge optimizing key organizational processes.

The new version of the product adds extended support for mobile dashboards and scorecards published and designed with the same ease characterizing all of Performance Canvas. The new features include advanced new graphic functionalities, including new customizable color schemes and support for variable time granularity. Deeper customization features make process and product integration easier and is especially aimed at customers using the product as a part of their own solution.

Also, it features support for improved candlestick graphs, automated post fixing and enhanced Microsoft SharePoint functionality.

Jan Morath, chief executive officer of DSPanel, said the company's OEM customers have learned to love how easy it is to customize and integrate Performance Canvas, and Version 1.2 adds key elements in DSPanel's strategy to make its product the leading platform for Embedded BI.

Morath noted that with the new enhanced support for mobile devices, any smart phone or berry will immediately be able to get the benefits of what is created using the canvas.

Niklas Derouche, chief technical officer of DSPanel, said that in the 1.2 release the company had actually added some nice features from its upcoming next major release of Performance Canvas, and the new features are really just a taste of what DSPanel means with real Embedded BI.

Derouche added that the way Performance Canvas connects the concept of Embedded BI with the extensive power offered to the business user without the use of BI lingo is unprecedented.
