Tilgin designs and delivers operator managed intelligent service node products and solutions that service-connect the broadband home. The company says that they with a full convergence of voice, video and data take network systems to customer premises equipment (CPE) that enables providers to offer a broad portfolio of personalized and differentiated next-generation broadband services.
Danish based Nordija A/S is a provider of sophisticated interactive TV applications in Europe.
TRE-FOR is a utility company in Denmark and they are also suppliers of electricity, water and heating in the Danish Triangle Region.
The agreement of Tilgin and Nordija with TRE-FOR is that Tilgin will provide its HD IPTV set-top solution, including its IPTV server software for large-scale IP networks, named MBS. Nordija will give Tilgin a better reach in Denmark and outside Scandinavia. The IPTV middleware offered by Nordija will provide a TV portal that assists the viewer selecting channels and using other features such as video on demand and electronic program guides.
"In our common TRE-FOR Profiber project our companies have come very close and shown the potential to cooperate on similar IPTV projects," says Bille Madsen ITV Manager at Nordija. "This collaboration will strengthen the value proposition for both parties and will be extended to other customers and deployments around Europe and the Middle East".
Tilgin has said that Nordija can bring that sophisticated edge broadband customers would require into their collaboration. "There are a number of similar fiber network operators all owned by regional utility companies in Denmark and we hope TRE-FOR's HD choice and our collaboration with Nordija will open up for further discussions with the other utility-owned networks", says Ola Berglund (
