GED-I claims that the company is the only one that provides an adequate level of security to stored data. GED-i overcomes the inherent vulnerabilities of storage devices by using a unique technology. The GSA 2000 product family makes use of three layers of standard encryption (AES 256) and proprietary methods to ensure that stored data will never be compromised by unauthorized organizations or individuals.
This cooperation will be carried on under the umbrella of "Cooperation with International Corporate," a program initiated by the Chief Scientist's office, in Israel's Ministry of Industry and Trade. GED-i will provide its encryption appliance (GSA 2000) and key server (GKS 2000) on Sun platforms running the Solaris Operating Environment, according to the agreement. In turn, GED-I will be supported by Sun in the development and marketing of the ported product.
Developed by Sun as a worldwide program to assist a growing community of startups, GED-i is taking part of the Sun Startup Essentials program. To help in porting, tuning and sizing Sun’s appliance, and tailoring them to customers' needs, GED-i will be leveraging the engineering support as well as access to a wide range of Sun's software and servers.
“Sun has shown how a large IT company can proactively find and support smaller startups like GED-i and help them to get to the market faster, reducing overall costs and preparing them for success,” said David Saar, CEO of GED-i. “Being selected to The Sun Startup Essentials program is a testament to GED-I's innovation in the effort to increase information security.”
