Fiserv Launches CheckFree TradeFlow Version 2.3

CheckFree (News - Alert), now part of Fiserv, a provider of information technology services to the financial industry, has announced the launch of CheckFree TradeFlow. This multi-asset, post-trade processing solution builds upon CheckFree’s unique approach to packaging external connectivity, internal integration and post-trade workflows to incorporate specific fixed income processing.

According to CheckFree, the last decade saw an exponential increase of fixed income trade volumes. The company refers to an April 2008 report from research firm Celent. The report titled “Electronic Bond Trading: Reaching the Tipping Point,” indicated that the outstanding value of products in the U.S. fixed income market has more than doubled from $12 trillion in 1996 to $29.2 trillion in 2007. CheckFree’s new release can ensure compliance with unique domestic fixed income regulations, such as the splitting of large trades into increments of $50 million.

Geoff Harries, vice president, product strategy, CheckFree Investment Services Software, now part of Fiserv, stated that given the rising volume of fixed income products, the clients are driven to further assess their post-trade processing infrastructure to improve efficiency and offset risk.

The extension of U. S. fixed income capabilities in CheckFree TradeFlow is a reflection of their commitment to enable clients to capitalize on market trends and benefit from a U.S. domestic and cross-border solution utilizing a single integrated platform across asset classes.

This week, Fiserv also announced the launch of Fiserv Mobile Money, a complete mobile banking and payments solution, which supports consumers on all three mobile access modes - short messaging service, (SMS), wireless application protocol, (WAP), and downloaded mobile applications. The solution offers online and offline enrollment capabilities and integrates with core banking, online banking and electronic payments systems.

Fiserv Mobile Money builds upon existing Fiserv mobile banking options already in the market and adds a strategic technology to help all segments of financial institutions, said the company.
