ZAP Unveils New Recharge-It-All Micro Lithium Backup Charger

ZAP (News - Alert), a provider of electric vehicles, announced the launch of its new R03 Recharge-It-All micro lithium backup charger, which is a mobile power storage unit. The mobile power back-up unit can be used to power low-powered electronic device even on-the-go.

 

The R03 charger features 1050 MHA lithium. It is compact and can fit easily into a pocket or purse, says company. This Recharge-It-All charger can replace other charge adapters.

 

Unlike other power systems that are designed for a specific model of device, Recharge-It-All is a platform that can recharge many kinds of devices like cells phones, smart phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, camcorders, hand held computers, laptops and more.

 

Recharge-It-All combines advanced battery storage with smart charge controller technology, which can sense and adapt to a range of different voltages that are required for different low power electronic devices. 

 

Recharge-It-All comes with a range of connectors that enables the user to plug into virtually any electronic device, says company. The R03 charger comes with four different connectors. It is compatible with 80 percent of the mobile phone market including iPhone, Motorola, Samsung, Nokia (News - Alert) and LG, says company.

 

The new Recharge-It-All R03 charger comes with USB output of 5 volts and can power USB charged devices such as iPod, BlackBerry (News - Alert) and Palm Pilot as well.

 

"Recharge-It-All is a must for business travelers, especially if you want to avoid the 'Black Screen of Death,'" said Steve Schneider, CEO of ZAP. "Anyone who uses an iPhone (News - Alert), BlackBerry or similar device knows what I am talking about because if you run out of power it could literally mean you are out of business. I've used Recharge-It-All on business trips and never have to worry about running out of power."

 

Once the device is charged, it can be used as a remote power source wherever the user goes, says company.

 

In 2005, ZAP invested in the development of the Portable Energy, in order to explore the synergies between the consumer electronics and electric car markets, says company.

 

ZAP officials said the company is currently testing similar batteries, which will enable its electric cars to travel more than four times longer distance than conventional lead acid batteries.

 

ZAP claims to have delivered more than 100,000 vehicles to consumers in more than 75 countries. The company also manufactures a line of electric vehicles, including electric bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, as well as city-cars and trucks.
