Information Technology -Acxiom Intros SaaS Business Intelligence Solution

The company claims this is the industry's first SaaS (News - Alert) platform for information processing and analysis, bringing together the consumer data, information technology and analytical tools necessary to deliver BI results at a cost much lower than current alternatives.

"BI solutions that enable business growth and profitability are a top priority now more than ever," said Todd Barron, Acxiom (News - Alert) BI product leader, in a statement. "The explosion of data proliferation and the need to manage, organize and analyze massive amounts of information, as well as gain meaningful intelligence from it, is an extremely complex and expensive undertaking that requires specialized technical expertise and data."

Barron continued: "This new offering allows companies to deploy a BI platform in less time with less risk and with higher data quality. We've eliminated the need for companies to go out and find specialized resources, which allows them to meet their business needs in the shortest possible time frame."

BI Platform-X a comprehensive, highly scalable turnkey platform is offered to clients on a subscription basis. The platform's pre-configured hosted environment includes all hardware, software and network infrastructure needed to deliver business intelligence, allowing clients to add storage, BI or database capacity on demand, and securely transfer and manage data to and from the system as needed from anywhere with an Internet connection. In addition to the platform, consulting services are available to provide expert help during any phase of the pre-development or development lifecycle.

Barron added that the platform can be deployed in a matter of weeks and comes pre-configured with market-leading database, business intelligence, and analytics software installed and ready to use without any capital expenditure.

"Today's executive is looking for a partner that can not only provide the entire hardware and software stack needed to meet their business intelligence needs, but one that has the experience and knowledge to successfully implement it with a consultative approach," said John Meyer, Acxiom CEO and President, in a statement. "Our ability to combine leading data management services and deep consumer insight with best-of-breed tools and technologies makes this a unique offering for the market."
