Tech Mahindra Forms Partnership with Servista

Tech Mahindra (TechM), an IT services provider in the telecom space, said that it has signed an agreement to acquire a minority equity stake in London-based Servista (News - Alert), a systems integrator.

Under the agreement, for three years, the company will be Servista’s exclusive delivery arm. In addition, the company is expected to assist Servista in securing large scale European IT Offshoring business.

Moreover, terms of the agreement allow TechM to nominate a member onto Servista’s board of directors.

Servista provides managed IT services on an offshore basis with core offerings in operating and business systems, such as CRM, Billing, Operational Workflow, IT Systems Transformation and Testing.

Also, Servista has an established platform to provide white labeled customer care and billing services to telephony and utility providers. According to the company, it brings a “unique local presence” in key European markets, which will bridge language and cultural issues to enable European companies to use Indian offshoring.

“We are delighted to enter into this highly-complimentary relationship with TechM that will deliver the huge benefits of Indian Offshoring to the European marketplace,” said Ben Andradi, CEO at Servista.

He also said that there is substantial potential for growth, which is reflected in current demand, as European companies are at relatively early stages in their use of IT Offshoring for competitive advantage, compared to their American counterparts.

With the help of this latest deal, India-based TechM expects to expand into the European market place. The company believes that the agreement will enhance its business development capability.

Company officials said TechM will support Servista in delivering managed IT services and provide Servista with cost efficient and scalable solutions for their clients.

“Tech Mahindra's strategy of pursuing long-term customer relationships has always yielded definitive results. Enhancing our partnership with Servista is another important milestone in this journey and will expand our service delivery footprint in Europe,” said C.P Gurnani, president for international operations at Tech Mahindra, in a statement.

He also said that his company’s domain driven delivery model will ensure “higher efficiencies” for Servista and enable it to rapidly deploy a range of new services offerings to meet customer demands.

In June, TechM announced that it has entered into a strategic global alliance with Microsoft (News - Alert) to address its system integration (SI) requirements for deployments of the Microsoft Mediaroom Internet protocol television (IPTV) and multimedia software platform.
