Tableau Software Supports Netezza's Data Warehouse Appliances

Tableau Software announced that it now supports Netezza’s data warehouse appliances. The partnership will allow Netezza to offer its customers Tableau Software’s visual analytic capabilities as a front-end to its appliances enabling fast and easy data exploration and visualization for any knowledge worker.

 

Tableau's officials explain that their architecture is uniquely suited for working with exceptionally large databases, and takes maximum advantage of Netezza's high-performance strengths.

 

According to Matt Rollender, director of strategic and technology alliances at Netezza, Tableau's visualization and mapping capabilities greatly enhance the end-user experience by simplifying the way people can access their high-performance analytics. He believes this technology partnership is a great example of how two companies can come together and deliver true value to the end user. Netezza is especially impressed with Tableau’s straightforward and easy-to-use interface combined with high-powered visual analytics.

 

Kevin Brown, vice president of partnerships and alliances at Tableau Software said that the company is thrilled with Netezza’s decision to employ Tableau to ease the process of visualizing complex data. He emphasized that visualizing massive datasets is no longer a daunting, drawn-out task.

 

Tableau Software recently announced Tableau 4.0, which includes updates to both Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server. Combining fast visual analysis capabilities with the ability to easily share data findings throughout an organization, these applications will enable Netezza’s customers to conduct high performance geographic analysis, embed and share live Tableau views with other applications such as Web sites, intranets and documents, and benefit from Tableau's easy drag-and-drop user interface.
