Callidus: Demand for Performance Management Solutions High in Telecom Sector

Callidus Software’s telecom customer base is growing thanks to successfully meeting the needs of telecom companies with its sales performance management (SPM) and pervasive performance management solutions.

Callidus’ telecom customers include Embarq, SFR, Tellabs and Belgacom. New customers added this year include Vodafone (News - Alert) New Zealand, Ventelo and Orascom. The company claims to serve more than 35 telecom customers globally.

Callidus offers pervasive performance management solutions to customers. Performance-based compensation is one of the largest investments for all companies.  Callidus’ software-as-a-service (SaaS (News - Alert)) solutions set the standard for pervasive performance management across enterprises and let them maximize the return on their strategic assets.

Callidus’ advanced SPM solutions improve productivity and efficiency of all types of companies, said Callidus. These solutions, along with pervasive performance management solutions, offer a variety of useful tools to provide telecommunications companies with accurate sales metrics and data that give them a competitive edge in the market.

SPM also offers benefits such as automated commission processes and quota and territory management that businesses can leverage to increase margins and drive profits.

"Telecommunications companies recognize the business value of effective sales performance management," said Steve Apfelberg, senior vice president of marketing and business development at Callidus Software (News - Alert), in a statement. "When utilized strategically, incentive compensation, quota management, and territory optimization are powerful tools to increase market share as well as revenue."

Callidus performance management solutions enable enterprises to offer pay-for-performance incentives for salespeople, distributors, retailers, and other participants in the sales channel.

Callidus’ solutions are scalable for different business needs. Callidus says that its solutions are becoming the system of trust for managing sales performance in a broad range of industries, ranging from telecom to financial services, high-tech, life sciences and manufacturing.

Callidus’ solutions include a grid-computing platform that specifically addresses the needs of transaction of sales-heavy organizations like telecom companies. It offers two types of solutions: the rules-based architecture facilitates fluid change management for compensation plan updates, and the Web-based implementation helps retain a low investment model over time.
