CT Summation Delivers Discovery Cracker 5.2 with Unicode Support

CT Summation, a premier provider of litigation support and eDiscovery solutions (EDD), has launched CT Summation Discover Cracker 5.2, the company’s eDiscovery software.

The first fully distributed, electronically stored information (ESI (News - Alert)) processing application to support the Unicode standard for processing international text and character sets, Discovery Cracker, now also provides improved scalability and processing speed.

Discovery Cracker, which is scalable, flexible and easy to use, meets the needs of corporate legal departments, law firms, litigation processing vendors, forensic consulting firms and government agencies.

It is ideal for use in matter-based discovery, proactive risk management and regulatory compliance.

CT Summation's Discovery Cracker 5.2 comes with a host of features including Unicode support, an industry standard allowing computers and software programs to consistently represent and manipulate text expressed in most of the world's writing systems.

Discovery Cracker supports 75 different Unicode scripts that identify over 350 different international character sets. The adoption of the Unicode standard gives Discovery Cracker the power to process international documents that in many cases are written in two or more languages.

The 5.2 cracker also comes with DC Detective, a browser-based tool that provides early visibility into the electronic discovery process, provides secure, online access to extracted data for filtering and viewing while optionally selecting and tagging files for processing.

"CT Summation Discovery Cracker 5.2 represents our next generation of in-house e-discovery applications,” said Tom Rump, vice president of litigation solutions for Wolters Kluwer Corporate Legal Services.

"By adding Unicode compliance and enhancing the overall processing speed, our clients are now ideally positioned to use one tool for e-discovery processing, regardless of language and data volume requirements,” added Rump.
