Chloride Expands Sinergy Uninterruptible Power Supplies

Chloride has expanded its Sinergy uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) product line to include the Sinergy S II series single-phase UPS, suited for a broad range of critical telecommunications, datacom, Voice over IP, retail, industrial and medical imaging applications.

Featuring online double conversion technology, the Sinergy S II can handle irregularities in the electrical system and render brief power disruptions harmless. At the same time the device also provides battery back-up to bridge prolonged power outages at an affordable price.

Yolanda Hernandez, director of marketing at Chloride North America, pointed out that even a brief power interruption or outage can cause costly processing errors, data loss or software and hardware damage. He added that ensuring consistent, quality power to sensitive electronics equipment with the Sinergy S II will make a positive financial impact on an organization’s bottom line.

The Sinergy S II Series UPS has been flexibly designed in a rack/tower configuration, and is offered in both a low voltage (120V) model (700 VA, 1 kVA, 1.5 kVA, 2 kVA, 3kVA) as well as two high-voltage (200-240V) versions (2 kVA and 3 kVA). While the low voltage models are designed for operation in North America and carry the UL/cUL mark, high voltage models are global solutions, and carry the UL/cUL and CE marks.

Chloride officials said all Sinergy S II Series UPS models operate at 50 or 60 Hz, and feature automatic bypass, controllable receptacles, and a remote power off (RPO) adapter. Because hot swappable internal batteries can be changed without shutting down the unit, they further simplify maintenance.

The unit’s comprehensive front panel LEDs provide a visual indication of status, load, and runtime. The UPS also sends an audible warning signal at 4-second intervals, which indicate critical operational conditions. Moreover, extended runtime capability enables back up power protection for up to four hours in most applications.

Headquartered in London, Chloride Group PLC is an international electronics manufacturer operating primarily in the power protection and safety system markets. The company manufactures and supplies a range of UPS, power conditioning and line protector products for critical applications primarily in the rapidly growing areas of data communications, retail, biomedical systems and industrial process controls.
