AlgoSec's Network Management Solutions "Instrumental"

AlgoSec, a company that provides computer network security management solutions, today announced that its FireFlow network security lifecycle management solution has been acknowledged as ‘instrumental’ by growth consulting firm Frost & Sullivan (News - Alert).

 

Frost & Sullivan recently released a Network Security Technology Alert, in which it addressed the growing market demand for network security lifecycle management solutions to meet external and corporate compliance requirements in the complex business environments, AlgoSec said.

 

In the Alert, Frost & Sullivan said businesses must ensure their IT processes and structure to meet regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and Payment Card Data Security Standards (PCI DSS).

 

Zachariah Thomas, Frost & Sullivan research analyst, Technical Insights, commented that AlgoSec’s products are capable of providing end-to-end automated change solutions to enterprises. According to Thomas, AlgoSec’s flagship AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer (AFA) enables companies to maintain the integrity of their firewall policies.

 

FireFlow, which is based on AlgoSec’s flagship AFA technology, received special mentioning from the analyst, AlgoSec said. 

 

“AlgoSec has been instrumental in addressing increasing enterprise demand for network security lifecycle management solutions with FireFlow, an advanced change reporting tool, based on the company's AlgoSec Firewall Analyzer (AFA) technology that provides enterprises end-to-end automated network security lifecycle management capabilities,” Thomas said.

 

The Alert found that AlgoSec also provides automatically completed compliance reports for regulations, including PCI DSS. FireFlow is an offline and non-disruptive software solution, the analyst firm noted.

 

Additionally, Frost & Sullivan found that AlgoSec solutions identify and prioritize risky rules and offer firewall querying feature, AlgoSec said. The AFA solution saves significant training cost and time. It supports multiple firewall vendors, such as Check Point, Juniper/Netscreen and Cisco (News - Alert).
