Exinda Networks, Level Platforms Team on Remote Monitoring Solutions

Exinda Networks (News - Alert), a provider of wide area network (WAN) and optimization solutions has partnered with remote monitoring and management software company Level Platforms. The Managed Workplace software from Level now can be used to monitor Exinda’s WAN optimization appliances from remote locations.

This type of remote monitoring is becoming more popular. According to a 2006 report from Gartner (News - Alert), “Forecast: Remote IT Monitoring and Management Services, Worldwide, 2005-2010,” the market for remote IT monitoring managed services is forecasted to reach $36 billion during the next few years, gaining a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 32 percent between 2005 and 2010.

“The market for remote monitoring managed services is well established and growing,” stated Stan Schreyer, vice president of sales for North America at Exinda Networks, in a statement. “Our partnership with Level Platforms helps fulfill our vision of equipping IT solutions providers with all the tools they need to be successful in selling managed services in this important emerging market.”

Exinda’s approach to optimizing application performance is referred to as Unified Performance Management (UPM). UPM integrates WAN optimization, application acceleration, application visibility, and application response time measurements within one appliance. UPM is integrated into the central dashboard of Managed Workplace, giving the solution provider complete visibility on the performance of applications on their clients’ IT infrastructure.

“We are proud to welcome an exceptional organization such as Exinda Networks to the Level Platforms Vendor Partner Program,” commented Ryck Marciniak, director of vendor alliances for Level Platforms. “The integration of Exinda’s technology with Level Platform’s Managed Workplace will be highly useful to IT solutions providers as it will help differentiate their service offering to mid-sized enterprise customers.”

The Managed Workplace solution from Level Platform, integrated with the WAN optimization technology from Exinda, is now available for purchase. Exinda Networks is provides its UPM with WAN optimization and other features to mid-sized enterprise, government, and service provider clients around the world. It was established in 2002 to provide optimal and consistent application performance on a WAN and to reduce network operating costs.
