Information Technology -Pepperweed Releases Process Model to Aid IT Workers

IT management consulting services provider, Pepperweed is reportedly making its Pepperweed Process Model available free of charge to the industry.

The company today announced that all organizations can now access Pepperweed’s “Enterprise Resource Planning for IT” free process model, which provides IT process improvement and best practices starter content.

Available for download on Pepperweed’s Web site, the model offers valuable guidance on how to govern, manage, control, operate and secure the IT function, according to the company.

The company said that their Pepperweed’s “Enterprise Resource Planning for IT” free process model is based on generations of Pepperweed intellectual property used in a variety of IT process improvement consulting engagements with Fortune 1000 companies. An integral tool for compliance auditors, the model leverages various IT frameworks and standards, including ISO/IEC (News - Alert) 20000, ITIL, IBPL, ITGI, PMI, ISO 27001, COBIT and BPMN, officials say.

“We value simplicity and take great pride inbeing a trusted advisor to our customers as well as to the IT industry as a whole,” said Greg Downer, vice president of IT management consulting for Pepperweed. He said that organizations need to shift their attention to process improvement risk areas, like management commitment and cultural adoption, and that organizations should spend less time on policy and process design.

According to Downer, his company is making that shift a reality for every organization by making their policy and process documentation free of charge.

Elaborating on the model, the company says that each process has policy level details for benefits, controls, goals, metrics, policies, roles and specifications. The model also provides process diagram and physical flow charts, all the way down to detailed work instructions, according to the company. This creates the power to highlight the value of IT within the organization. Pepperweed’s “Enterprise Resource Planning for IT” free process model simplifies alignment with mixed toolsets, which are the reality in most organizations.

Pepperweed Consulting was founded in 1996 to fulfill a need for quality IT management tools and specialists. The company is recognized for its unique ability to provide IT Management Consulting services by focusing on a healthy balance of people, process and technology.
