GearyTech Announces Strategic Partnership with ControlScan

GearyTech, Inc. today said it’s joined with ControlScan, an Approved Scanning Vendor certified by the Payment Card Industry, to help its customers meet mandatory requirements set forth by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Council.

Ontario-based GearyTech provides Managed IT Services to companies within the small to mid size market.

Doug Geary, president at GearyTech, said that his company selected ControlScan’s PCI Compliance solutions for their reliability and ease of implementation. He added: “However, the price performance of their products is what sets them apart from other PCI compliance solutions.”

Geary also said that the custom package ControlScan has developed for GearyTech allows his company to be “incredibly competitive and deliver real value for our customers.”

GearyTech officials said that their company’s customers have access to ControlScan’s PCI compliance solution, which includes on-demand security scanning and the PCI Self-Assessment Questionnaire.

In addition, officials say, these customers can also take advantage of ControlScan’s array of GeoTrust and VeriSign (News - Alert) SSL and EV SSL certificates, which provide the “best encryption available to help protect the transfer of sensitive data on their Websites.”

Joan Herbig, chief executive officer at ControlScan, said that through this partnership, GearyTech can complement its already strong portfolio of IT services by offering ControlScan’s PCI compliance solutions, helping their customers meet the PCI requirements as well as protect them from fraudulent activity.

Atlanta, Georgia based ControlScan provides security and Payment Card industry compliance solutions designed exclusively for small- to medium-sized e-commerce businesses.

Earlier this week, American Technology (News - Alert) Services announced its partnership with ControlScan to help its merchants meet mandatory requirements set forth by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard Council.
