LG Electronics (News - Alert), a global and regional digital leader, has been awarded a $38.1 million contract from Goldcrest Properties, a division of Giga Group, to deploy its HomNet smart home technology in Goldcrest Properties' Smart City project.

LGE HomNet is expected to address the growing need for smart home solutions in today's fast paced life. This alliance will offer tenants a modern lifestyle with sophisticated amenities such as ultra-high speed Internet access, keyless home entry, video and audio communications, integrated security with CCTV streaming, parking and access control, community portal solutions and much more.

"Recognizing the potential of its product offering, developers are now choosing LGE HomNet to provide customers with a convenient and secure lifestyle integrating digital home solutions. We are well-positioned to support the region's booming property developments and are confident of LGE's growth in this niche sector," said Kevin Cha, the general manager of LGE Branch Amman.

Smart City, strategically located on Emirates Road and within close proximity to Dubai International Airport, will offer over 3,500 luxury apartments fully equipped with LGE HomNet's home management solutions.

LGE HomNet home solutions also include access control for the household and common entrances, notifications of visitors during the absence of the owner, and other convenient features.

"It is with great pride that the Giga Group launches a project that offers residents smart living options. What we are developing is not a static sculpture, but a lifestyle," said Amir Giga, managing director of Goldcrest Properties.

"As the proven specialists in smart home technology, LG Electronics offers a number of advantages over other providers, while boosting our own stature in the region's construction sector,” explained Giga.
