Apptis, a provider for IT services and solutions for U.S. government agencies, has been chosen for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to complete a multi-year task order valued at approximately $25 million. The deal involves critical network operations and information assurance support to the U.S. Central Command (USCENTCOM) at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida and Bahrain.

As per terms of the agreement between the DISA and Apptis, 24x7 Tier 1 and 2 network operations and help desk support is provided by Apptis to ensure continuous USCENTCOM command and control communications systems and are made available to the warfighter. With enhanced network management infrastructure, the company provides services for continuous availability, classified and unclassified communication flow securely and efficiently through voice, data, video and satellite to command centers within SWA and the United States.

USCENTCOM is a joint service Combatant Command for the Combat Operations within South West Asia (SWA), including Iraq and Afghanistan.
