Ingram Micro Lands 'Open Letter of Supply' Contract from D-Link


D-Link (News - Alert) has granted an “open letter” contract to Ingram Micro, enabling that company to offer D-Link TAA products to government resellers. The contract runs for three years and approved government resellers can now purchase D-Link IP networking and connectivity products through the Ingram Micro GovEd Alliance Program.

Ingram Micro creates sales and profitability opportunities for vendors and resellers through unique marketing programs, outsourced logistics services, technical support, financial services, and product aggregation and distribution.
 
GovEd Alliance is an Ingram Micro community group consisting of more than 2,000 solution providers, technology manufacturers, and Ingram Micro associates serving the government and education markets. Ingram Micro's GSA (News - Alert) Pass Through Program offers letter of supply and pricing support for strategic manufacturer partners such as D-Link and is considered to be a key service for the community.
 
Automatically finding out links and cable length and adjusting power accordingly, D-Link Green Ethernet technology integrates innovative power-saving features to benefit the customers. Incorporating the new energy-saving technology are the D-Link Web Smart 16-Port (DGS (News - Alert)-1216T), the 24-Port (DGS-1224T) and the 48-Port (DGS-1248T) network switches.
 
D-Link provides connectivity for small, medium and large enterprise business networking. The company is an award-winning designer, developer and manufacturer of networking, broadband, digital electronics, voice, data and video communications solutions for the digital home, Small Office/Home Office (SOHO), Small to Medium Business (SMB), and Workgroup to Enterprise environments.
