Aiming to make data management easier, Exalead (
News -
Alert) is now offering version 4.6 of its one:desktop solutions, designed to meet the needs of users who seek unified access to their PCs, internal servers and the Web.
The new version of one:desktop has been fully integrated into exalead.com and comes with a new user interface intended to make user experience easier than ever. It manages and organizes information, a facility which any user needs currently, simply because of the huge volumes and disparate forms that data comes in.
“Search is essential in everyday working practice and employees are wasting copious hours each week simply looking for information throughout extensive servers and hard drives,” said Neil Hendry, Datamonitor Director of Consultancy, in a statement. “Exalead's new offering of search for the desktop gives chance for these workers to rein in the data they require, as and when they need it.”
Francois Bourdoncle, founder of Exalead, added: “By deploying this new search tool you can instantly locate and access any document saved on internal and external hard drives, whether in the form of an Office document, an email, an attached file, a contact or an appointment.”
The desktop tool can also be used for online portals, as an effective service to secure traffic and brand recognition to one's site.
