BlueStar to Distribute LXE Tx700 and Tx800 Vehicle Mount Computers

BlueStar, a distributor of point-of-sale (POS), auto ID, mobility, and RFID product, s announced the start of distribution for LXE's T700 and Tx800 vehicle mount computers.

 

These vehicle mount cameras were formerly offered by Åkerströms Trux, a company that specialized in industrial vehicle computers for extreme environments, before that firm was acquired out by LXE.

 

LXE Tx700 and Tx800 rugged products are based on modular-design architecture that delivers a flexible solution that can be easily tailored to meet the customer's needs. Both devices are available with a range of processor and memory options; and both are engineered to operate in tough logistics environments.

 

Options for both the Tx700 and the Tx800 include: memory, Bluetooth, and various software applications such as terminal emulation and on-screen soft keyboard.

 

"These are high-performance, rugged Windows XP-based computers that have a modular-design architecture a flexible solution that can be easily tailored to meet the customers' needs. Both devices are available with a range of processor and memory options; and both devices are engineered to operate in touch logistics environments," said Paul Mounkes, LXE Marketing Manager.

 

"The end-user possibilities are endless with the products' high-speed data transmission and abilities for integration with other systems and applications," added Mark Fraker, BlueStar's VP of Marketing.

 

The Tx700 is a forklift truck computer designed for brutal treatment in an industrial environment over the long-term. The product features a bright 12.1-in. SVGA or XGA display with a hardened touchscreen. It is available with a 600-MHz Celeron Mobile or 1.4-GHz Pentium Mobile processor and comes with an 802.11 b/g radio.

 

The Tx800 also features a bright hardened touchscreen, only its display is a 10.4-in. SVGA. It is IP65-secured and is also available with a 600-MHz Celeron Mobile or 1.4-GHz Pentium Mobile processor and comes with an 802.11 b/g radio. Users have the option of changing the hard drive; change the battery; reach yet another USB 2.0 port to booth the PC from USB stick; and to change Mini-PCI card.
