QuickLogic’s ArcticLink II VX solution will soon enter volume manufacturing, thanks to a deal with Tower Semiconductor. Volume production is on track to start by August, and will take place at Tower's advanced Fab2 facility.
Tower Semiconductor delivers Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor (CMOS) technologies including Radio Frequency

(RF), power management devices, and embedded non-volatile memory solutions.
QuickLogic is a manufacturer of customizable semiconductor solutions for mobile and portable electronics original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and original design manufacturers (ODMs). It helps clients introduce products quickly.
“We are happy that QuickLogic's lead in low power programmable solutions is to be further strengthened through these new products,” said Itzhak Edrei, senior vice president for worldwide product lines and sales at Tower Semiconductor, in a statement. “QuickLogic's high-quality of products is to be complemented by Tower's excellence in engineering and manufacturing execution, and we expect our volumes to reflect the rapid growth path forecasted for this market segment.”
The ArcticLink II solution platforms include QuickLogic's proprietary Visual Enhancement Engine (VEE) technology, which provides general and professional consumer devices with effective liquid crystal display (LCD) backlight power controls and contrast optimization. Thus it not only helps manage and extend the battery life of the consumer’s devices but also enables consumers to experience high television quality viewing on their handsets.

As it uses lower power and provides high performance, this enables products to enter markets faster, stay longer and provide efficient product development through platform designs. Streaming video applications and mobile internet will have an enhanced visual experience. It is also expected to contribute to increasing energy efficiency and reducing the total cost of ownership
