Polkast Enables Secure PC-to-PC Access Feature

Polkast, a service capable of allowing users to securely connect to their PC directly from their mobile devices, announced that it will be transforming personal cloud computing with its new PC-to-PC Access feature.

In a release Hong Bui, founder and CEO of Polkast said, “We all have content spread across many devices, and it's particularly challenging to juggle it all between home, work and travel.”

“We wanted to make it easier for people to switch between multiple computers, without having to worry about where they last saved a file, mixing their personal and work information, or compromising their privacy,” added Bui.

It was revealed that Polkast is launching this new file virtualization system which will help users to easily connect multiple computers directly, providing complete access to all of their files irrespective of where the files are stored.

This PC-to-PC Access feature is expected to be included in the new Pro Version, which will be suitable for business users who are desirous to connect to multiple computers so that they can create their own secure personal cloud.

The new PC-to-PC feature optimizes cloud services delivery and eliminates the need for online cloud sync and storage. It is also highly secure for data storage on a third party server like a cloud storage provider.

Officials further added that it takes care of critical issues like speed, compatibility or reliability that are associated with cloud computing. This solution is most suitable for users who need anytime access to their digital content. It also allows them to keep files within their own environment and control.

Polkast allows users to avoid uploading of content to an online storage service for remote access, but it enables them to access all computer files directly anywhere, at any time from devices like the computer, tablet, or smartphone.

This prevents intermingling of personal and work files, eliminates additional storage costs, and saves time as it avoids uploading and downloading to cloud storage as an intermediate step, added officials.

Users will benefit a lot from Polkast which lets them build their personal cloud on the devices they possess. It ensures the security required by users who may not trust public cloud storage solutions. Polkast is available on the iPad, iPhone (News - Alert), Android phones and tablets, and computers with Windows 7, Vista, XP and Mac OSX.
