Energy and emissions management software solution provider C3 has the ability to lead the enterprise energy management software industry, according to Ovum (News - Alert).
C3’s solution package has a number of capabilities that stem from its developers' focus from day one on energy management, Ovum said in its report entitled, "C3 (News - Alert): Can it Spark an Explosion in Energy Management?"
"Rising energy costs and market volatility have made energy management a higher corporate priority than ever before," said Warren Wilson, lead analyst for Energy & Sustainability Technology at Ovum, in a statement.

Though its early customers are large organizations, C3's offering can meet SMBs' needs as well, and the vendor intends to target that market.
C3's energy and emissions management software solutions include C3 Energy, C3 Mitigation, C3 Incentives, C3 Sustainability, and C3 Foundation.

SAIC will leverage the C3 solution to model, analyze, and optimize energy use at its own facilities.
