EarthLink Acquires IT Solution Center from Synergy Global Solutions

EarthLink, Inc., a premier IT services and communications provider has successfully acquired the IT Solution Center and hosted application business from Synergy (News - Alert) Global Solutions.

Based in Western, NY, Synergy Global Solutions is a provider of hosted IT products, services and solutions. The company’s IT Solution Center consists of a Help Desk, Network Operations Center and remote technical management, and support across a wide range of networking and operating system platforms. 

Officials said that Synergy's cloud-based application service, offering end-to-end hosted IT capabilities for the environmental services vertical market has also been acquired by EarthLink.

With this agreement, EarthLink will be able to acquire relationships with approximately 120 Value Added Resellers that currently sell the Solution Center and hosted application services.

Synergy's remaining Value Added Reseller business will continue to distribute the IT Solution Center services and other EarthLink services as an EarthLink business partner.

“With the close of this strategic acquisition, we intend to leverage the Solution Center's competency providing leading-edge IT support services and rapidly expand these nationwide in combination with our cloud, security and network connectivity solution to our customers,” commented Brian Fink, EarthLink executive vice president of Managed Services, in a release.

Synergy President Clark Crook will now join EarthLink as vice president of Solution Center Services. He will be responsible for managing EarthLink's Solution Center and for deploying these capabilities throughout the company's distribution channels.

In related news, EarthLink, Inc. will implement ADTRAN's (News - Alert) switches, routers and gateways for the nationwide launch of its EarthLink Business Complete suite. EarthLink's Complete will offer a comprehensive portfolio of nationwide business-class voice, data, and Internet solutions.

Available in every state in the continental US, EarthLink's Complete line meshes leading-edge hosted Voice over IP applications and private MPLS networks with equipment, mobile and security options to offer businesses of all sizes a fully customizable communications portfolio, the company said.
