Indosoft Upgrades Its ACD for Asterisk

Indosoft (News - Alert) Inc., a provider of contact center software for Asterisk, announced new feature upgrades to Q-Suite 5.5 for Asterisk with enhancements to its ACD.

These new feature enhancements include Ringall Queue notifications, trunk-tracker channel monitor and Call Abandon setting. With a well-developed CTI (News - Alert) Interface, the API to Indosoft call center software will enable users to integrate Asterisk using their sophisticated mid-tier layer. Whether users need ACD capability to add or enhance their business application with inbound call taking telephony platform or if users are looking to add an outbound dialing engine, this CTI interface will meet for users’ application requirements.

Using Ringall Queue notifications monitoring, selection and handling of calls from designated queues based on business requirements could be done accurately. The trunk-tracker channel monitor would offer details of call activity and call progress for every call including transfers and three-way calls.

Call Abandon setting is a new ACD feature that retains call information in a queue for abandoned calls. The calls can be either retained in the same queue or moved to another queue with a different priority for callback. With all these potential features implementation of special considerations the required in call handling and routing requirements and extra ordinary skills based routing could be done efficiently.

Asterisk is a unique open source PBX which is supported through commercial licensing from Digium (News - Alert). It is a highly evolved hybrid telephony switch with both VoIP and TDM interface with ongoing development and product evolution supported by both Digium and the open source community at large.

Indosoft asserted that it has developed a unique mid-tier ACD layer with a well-developed set of APIs available in both .NET (News - Alert) and socket (TCP/IP) library. If vertical business domain has a telephony component and they are considering a move to Asterisk for IP telephony requiring a fully developed functional ACD with a complete API, Indosoft offers a compelling CTI interface with a sophisticated ACD for Asterisk (News - Alert) that will fulfill most requirements.
