Sigma Systems Announces Record Growth in 2011

Sigma Systems (News - Alert) has announced that it has attained record customer growth for its fiscal year ending September 30, 2011.

The company now has its total subscriber services under management to over 160 million for its cable and telecommunications customers worldwide.

According to Tim Spencer, president and COO for Sigma Systems, they have achieved strong year on year growth, with close to 50 percent of their revenues being generated in markets outside of North America and in FY 2011, they also marked nine years of profitability.

He said that their success has been driven by customer demand and acceptance of their new solutions, and their focus on increasing their presence and professional services capabilities in key regions including Latin America and Europe.

In Latin America alone, the company grew by more than 84 percent in the last three years and now count Brazil's largest cable operator, Net Servicos, an American Movil subsidiary, among their top customers.

In addition, the company also has new international customer acquisitions such as Italy's Tiscali (News - Alert), Bell Aliant, iTSCOM, YouSee, Cable Bahamas and Amnet. The company even won many awards and completed more than 100 deployment projects in FY 2011.

Sigma also signed strategic reseller partnership with Convergys (News - Alert) to integrate its award-winning OSS software solutions into the Convergys Smart Revenue Solutions Suite. The joint solutions will provide communications and cable/broadband/satellite providers with advanced OSS and BSS software for both residential and business markets.

Sigma’s award-winning solutions include order management, provisioning and activation, and active mediation of residential and business VoIP, broadband, video, and triple-play and quad-play services.

In other news, Sigma Systems recently declared the adoption of its next-generation OSS solutions by Cabovisao SA. The adoption is to provide PacketCable and Session Initiation Protocol (News - Alert) (SIP) devices.
