DSPanel Unveils Canvas Online as Part of Performance Canvas Studio Product Group

DSPanel announced the availability of Canvas Online, the new addition to Performance Canvas Studio product group.

DSPanel CTO Niklas Derouche said in a release, “While cloud-based BI is not a new concept, Canvas Online is unique in it enables organizations to quickly deploy business intelligence cross-departmentally and cross functionally, enabling all employees to use insights to make better decisions.”

“Further, Canvas Online works on the same platform of Performance Canvas Studio giving users the same self-service, drag-and-drop functionality that enterprise organizations have enjoyed,” Derouche added.

According to company sources, Canvas Online will help mid-market organizations to deploy business intelligence, reporting or financial consolidation solutions cost effectively. They need not worry about complexity or maintenance issues and can enjoy full access to cutting edge visualizations, reporting, and forecasting, budgeting, consolidation and analytics tools.

Also all actions are done in a highly secure and scalable environment and businesses do not have to move to a cloud based data warehouse, emphasized officials.

Canvas Online cloud based solution helps users access their dashboards, reports, and analytics on their iPads, iPhones, Android (News - Alert), BlackBerry or Windows 7 mobile devices. Cloud users will have the same access to the capabilities specified by the Gartner “Who’s Who in Mobile BI” report.

Being a natively multitenant environment Canvas Online is designed to work as a standalone or embedded SaaS (News - Alert) solution. Integration is enabled via SQL Analysis Services, through Excel or through a Web services client.

Also the platform enables both customers and partners to quickly establish databases to serve multiple client organizations. It allows unlimited number of users to access the same information optimally. Organizations can deploy an environment wholly in the cloud or a combination set up combining on-site and cloud based functionality, explained officials.

Canvas Online is based on Performance Canvas Studio technology. This is an extensible, flexible browser based self-service product which lets users drag-and-drop visualizations and design reports in an agile WYSIWYG environment. They need not have knowledge of complex query languages such as MDX.

By using Performance Canvas technology in the cloud, deployment and integration costs are reduced and more users can access decision critical business intelligence data. Financial departments can create and share dynamic reports also said officials.

In other news,  Avema (News - Alert) Corporation, a global provider of telecom and wireless cost optimization services, recently announced a new partnership with Echoworx. Under the terms of the agreement, Avema will be adding Echoworx’ (News - Alert) recently launched mobilEncrypt Endpoint solutions for mobile to its mobile device management (MDM) offerings.
