WSO2 to Demonstrate about On-premise and Cloud Applications

Helping to build applications capable of running both on-premise and in the cloud, WSO2 has announced it will demonstrate in an upcoming show how IT architects and developers can use open source middleware.

Apart from showcasing cloud applications of its award-winning, 100 percent open source platforms: the WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform and WSO2 Stratos (News - Alert) cloud middleware platform, WSO2 experts also will demonstrate examples of seamlessly integrated on-premise.

Ensuring enterprises have access to the latest WSO2 technology advances whether they are deployed on-premise or in the cloud, the latest versions of these platforms and the WSO2StratosLive platform-as-a-service (PaaS) were launched simultaneously earlier this month, the company stated in a press release.

Enabling the sharing of best practices for building applications that can seamlessly and smoothly migrate between local servers, public clouds, private clouds, and cloud hybrid environments, WSO2, a Silver sponsor of the Gartner (News - Alert) AADI Summit, will have service-oriented architecture (SOA) and open source technology experts in the Solution Showcase.

Within an SOA, WSO2 Carbon is the industry’s first fully componentized middleware platform for creating, running and managing composite applications and Web services. Providing greater flexibility and agility to meet changing enterprise demands, WSO2 Carbon lets developers easily deploy and customize any of its WSO2 Carbon-based middleware products, and the 150-plus components on which they are comprised, and is built on the OSGi specification.

To support high-volume cloud environments, WSO2 Stratos is the industry’s first complete cloud middleware platform for rapidly building and deploying applications and services with full multi-tenancy and the elasticity, reliability and scalability, the company has stated.

Recently, the company released its open source platforms:  WSO2 Carbon enterprise middleware platform and WSO2 Stratos cloud middleware platform, which are both built on a common OSGi-compliant foundation.

The new platforms provide enterprises with access to the latest WSO2 technology advances whether they are deployed on-premise, in a private cloud, on a public cloud or hybrid cloud environment. The platforms include an enhanced load balancer that enables a single load balancer node to balance the load.
