Idera has unveiled the latest comprehensive auditing solution, the SQL compliance manager, which can audit all activity performed on an organization's most sensitive Microsoft (News
- Alert) SQL Server data.
According to the company, the SQL compliance manager offers real-time auditing of all data access and ensures compliance with regulatory and data security requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, PCI (News - Alert), Basel II and the COBIT framework.
It even tracks as to who has accessed information in particularly sensitive columns in audited tables, and immediately identifies the malicious intent.
Apart from that, the new solution audits the status of any transaction that executes DML statements on an audited database and this enhancement includes rollbacks and save-points, allowing DBAs to recognize and address suspicious activity.
“Auditing and reporting on the required information can often require weeks or months of custom development, or in some cases the employment of a full-time staff to provide scheduled or on-demand reports to auditors,” said Heather Sullivan, director of SQL Server Products at Idera.
Sullivan said the SQL compliance manager eliminates this overhead by providing real-time auditing, to provide quick, easy, accurate and trusted answers.
The company is currently selling SQL compliance manager 3.5 for $2,995 per instance.
Headquartered in Houston, Texas, Idera is a Microsoft Gold Partner and has over 9,000 customers worldwide.
