LANDesk's Latest Release Enhances Systems Management and Security

The latest versions of LANDesk (News - Alert) Management Suite 9 and LANDesk Security Suite 9 have been unveiled by LANDesk Software. The increased mobilization and consumerization of IT among corporate networks will be addressed with these suites. Organizations will be able to support a broad range of platforms with the refreshed LANDesk solution.

Remote users and unmanaged mobile devices can be better controlled with the LANDesk Solution. IT will also be able to understand the user environment and take action more quickly. An announcement in this regard has been made by LANDesk Software, the top global company in systems lifecycle management, endpoint security and IT service management.

New drillable dashboards for real-time analytics and dynamic click-through reporting are provided by LANDesk. Security policies can be therefore enforced by IT. They can also manage patch distribution inside and outside the network. The most current versions of popular operating systems from Mac, Windows and Linux are supported by this latest upgrade.

IT will be able to easily manage and secure users anywhere in the world with the several cloud based services included in the latest release. LANDesk Management Suite has been extended with the enhanced asset management analytics capability. Apart from making more informed devices, IT will be able to more tightly manage software license costs.

In a release, Steve Workman, VP of product management at LANDesk Software said, “LANDesk 9 provides a broad range of capabilities in a single integrated solution. Heterogeneity is the new way of life in the enterprise, especially when it comes to supporting the end user environment. The new features are smartly focused on delivering real business goals– like ROI, security and compliance, productivity, asset analytics, and executive insight – via an integrated light architecture model.”

Reducing risks and software expenses have been the core strengths of LANDesk. The new release has helped LANDesk to expand on these core strengths. In several key areas, LANDesk has also managed to increase productivity. These include Software Asset Management, Endpoint Security Analysis, Cloud-based Service, Microsoft (News - Alert) Windows 7 Migration and Expanded Platform Support. Top honors have been awarded to LANDesk by Enterprise Management Associates in the recently published Client Lifecycle Management Radar report.

In other news, as cloud computing continues to reshape today's enterprise landscape, IT administrators are demanding flexible management solutions that enable them to define how they provide support capabilities to end users. In order to meet this growing demand, LANDesk Software recently announced LANDesk Service Desk as a Service.
