Joyent, Telx, Cirracore and Canvas Systems Jointly to Provide All-in-One Private Cloud Solution

Joyent, a global provider of cloud computing software and services, has partnered with Telx, Cirracore, and Canvas Systems (News - Alert) to release a private cloud solution to evaluate private cloud deployment options easily.

In a press release, Dr. Jason Hoffman (News - Alert), founder and CTO of Joyent, said, “Companies considering a private cloud solution have been overwhelmed by the clutter in the cloud market. Joyent and our partners are cutting through the clutter by making available a complete cloud solution that includes Joyent's SmartDataCenter, the alternative to the status quo in the cloud.”

All the partners have jointly developed a powerful reference architecture of a complete turnkey solution for all types and sizes of organizations to evaluate the leading Joyent cloud infrastructure technology, SmartDataCenter (SDC). A limited number of demo instances of this solution are available from Telx's Atlanta facility. The complete cloud solution consists of elements like: Joyent's SmartDataCenter, the only field proven, carrier-grade cloud infrastructure software; Cirracore's systems integration, professional services, and delivery of the solution; Canvas Systems' system integration utilizing the CloudPod virtualization platform; and Telx's strategic data center locations and industry-leading interconnection services.

Darryl Brown (News - Alert), GM, Cloud and Digital Media from Telx, said, “ This package also eliminates the unwieldy and complicated formal evaluation process and lets companies experience the technology quickly, with little upfront investment.”

Joyent was in news recently when it announced that the rapid adoption and deployment of its SmartDataCenter 6.5 (SDC) cloud infrastructure and management solution which drives the Joyent public cloud by a number of leading service providers and systems integrators. SmartDataCenter makes it easy for the customers of Joyent to deliver cloud services to their clients or for the deployment of private clouds. The company, in its announcement, said that its cloud infrastructure software offering was being used by clients across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America which has helped in extending the company's global reach.
