Route1 Unveils New Secure Remote Access Solution

Route1, a security and identity management company, announced the launch of its TruOFFICE 3.5 software application.

TruOFFICE 3.5 is expected to be one of the industry's most comprehensive secure remote access solutions. The update will be performed when the user accepts the update from any internet-enabled computer.

Customers of Route1 TruOFFICE 3.0 will be notified directly through their MobiKEY Classic or MobiKEY Fusion device that a software update is available.

The software comes with improved security features and protocols. As part of the new feature, the TruOFFICE application software data sessions utilize the Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.1 protocol by default. Moreover, the TruOFFICE application software includes improved protection mechanisms while operating in hostile environments, company officials said.

While the MobiKEY Fusion device has the capability to support SHA-2 smart cards and data sessions to 64-bit Host computers, performance of the MobiKEY Fusion device's communication with the smart card has been significantly improved.

Recently, Route1 announced that it was named to the Deloitte (News - Alert) Technology Fast 50 in Canada, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years. Route1 ranked #26, with an increase in revenues of 903 percent from 2006 to 2010.
