Fortinet Included in Deloitte Technology Fast 500 for Sixth Consecutive Year

Fortinet (News - Alert), a provider of unified threat management (UTM) solutions, announced it has been named to Deloitte's (News - Alert) Technology Fast 500 for the sixth consecutive year.

Deloitte ranks companies based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the period from 2006-2010.

In the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, it ranks 500 of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America.

Fortinet continues to drive innovation in the industry through our market-leading FortiGate unified threat management appliances which improve security and reduce cost and complexity for companies of all sizes,” said Ken Xie, Fortinet founder, president and CEO, in a statement. “We are pleased be included again in this year's Technology Fast 500.”

One of the main eligibility criteria for making into the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list is that these companies need to own proprietary intellectual property or technology that is sold to customers in products that contribute to a majority of the company's operating revenues.

Companies must also have base-year operating revenues of at least $50,000 USD or CD, and current-year operating revenues of at least $5 million USD or CD. Companies must be in business for a minimum of five years and be headquartered within North America.

Fortinet's FortiGate appliances offer consolidated array of security and networking functions including complete content protection against network, content, and application-level threats without degrading network availability and uptime.

Recently, Sify (News - Alert) Technologies, a provider of enterprise network and data center services in India, announced its partnership with Fortinet to roll out an on-demand security solution for cloud computing customers and its Clean Connect service. The services are designed to guarantee secure bandwidth and clean connectivity to their enterprise customers.
