CarterEnergy Partners with CoSentry

CarterEnergy, a leader in the marketing and distribution of transportation fuels, recently announced in a press release that it has entered a partnership agreement with  has partnered with CoSentry (News - Alert), one of the Midwest’s most secure and reliable data center providers.

According to the terms of the partnership, CarterEnergy will utilize CoSentry’s North Kansas City Data Center to ensure the uninterrupted availability of their critical systems and the information-driven, quality service. CarterEnergy will actively operate both corporate as well as backup environments, and thereby ensure that critical systems and data are always available.

“We are pleased to partner with CarterEnergy to provide the data center facility, and services they require to support their business objectives,” said Doug West, vice president and general manager of CoSentry KC Data Center operations, in a recently press release. “CarterEnergy has a rich tradition of serving the petroleum industry, and we take our responsibility to support their critical IT Systems and information very seriously.”

Kerry Oliver, executive vice president and general manager for CarterEnergy stated, “We were very impressed with the CoSentry Kansas City facility and their commitment to security. The overall resiliency and redundancy of their data center infrastructure was a major factor in our decision to partner with CoSentry. We are very confident in their ability to deliver the levels of security that we require.”

Mark Dodds, Solutions Consultant with CoSentry in Kansas City stated that “CarterEnergy was very thoughtful in their approach to designing a Disaster Recovery program, and we look forward to continuing to be a part of their planning processes moving forward.”

In related news, CoSentry recently selected video production firm Royer Media and mobile video delivery provider Layered Innovations to produce and deliver a series of informational videos aimed at educating clients on business resiliency.
