Ocular Technologies Picked as Value Added Reseller of AudioCodes in South Africa

Ocular Technologies, a provider of contact center solutions and services in South Africa, announced it has been appointed as a registered value-added reseller (VAR) of AudioCodes (News - Alert), an E-SBC provider of advanced voice over IP (VoIP) and converged VoIP and data networking products and applications.

Following the signing of this agreement, Ocular Technologies will be in a position to supply its clients with AudioCodes solutions directly.

“Ocular Technologies will market, sell and integrate the AudioCodes suite of products and solutions into our business,” said Pommie Lutchman, CEO of Ocular Technologies, in a statement. “This is excellent news for our customers, as AudioCodes provides a range of innovative, cost-effective products.”

AudioCodes  focuses on VoIP communications, applications and networking elements, and its products are deployed globally in broadband, mobile, cable and enterprise networks. AudioCodes high-definition VoIP technologies and products deliver enhanced intelligibility, and better end-user communication in emerging voice networks.

“There is a clear lack of focus in this sector in South Africa,” continued Lutchman, “and Ocular feels it necessary to offer the local consumer world-class solutions. AudioCodes is the ideal partner for us in this respect, as the company's solutions are an excellent fit for the South African landscape.”

AudioCodes’ product range includes media gateways, multi-service business gateways, residential gateways, IP phones, media servers, session border controllers (SBC), security gateways and value-added applications.

Recently the company announced it has added an IP based call recording solution to the company's Microsoft (News - Alert) Unified Communication product portfolio.

Established in 2003, Ocular Technologies has emerged as a preferred partner for large-scale corporates, SMEs and government affiliates. The company has expanded its portfolio to include emerging technologies that center on enhancing the customer experience.
