Convergys Corporation Signs Reseller Agreement with Sigma Systems

Convergys (News - Alert) Corporation, a provider of solutions for relationship management, has signed a strategic, worldwide reseller agreement with advanced IP service fulfillment solutions provider Sigma Systems (News - Alert).

Sigma explained that its OSS products and solutions for service order management include provisioning and activation; device provisioning; and integrated mediation support integrated, while its bundled IP service offerings for residential and business subscribers are VoIP, ultra-fast broadband, advanced digital and IP video, IPTV (News - Alert), wireless and more.

With the new agreement, Convergys plans to integrate the aforementioned OSS software solutions into its Smart Revenue solutions. The joint solution is supposed to offer a suite of communications solutions specifically designed for cable/broadband/satellite providers, in both residential and business markets with advanced OSS and BSS software, for the design, delivery, and management of next generation communications and entertainment services. The solution will also be capable of helping companies accelerate transformation efforts, helping enable service providers’ evolution into next generation operators.

Convergys claimed that its Smart Billing and Customer Care Solutions enable clients to offer innovative services and delivery, build customer loyalty, reduce churn, lower costs, and grow revenues.

Convergys asserted that the partnership brings together two global companies with proven expertise and deployments in business and service transformation. With the advent of new video, entertainment, business, and cloud-enabled offerings, service providers have to address both business and service transformation at the same time to successfully expand their offerings and support operations systems. Integrated BSS/OSS solutions from Convergys and Sigma will help service providers effectively define, price, order, provision, and bill for services in a holistic manner.

Officials with Sigma ascertained that with this joint offering, operators now have an integrated solution that will allow them to quickly bring new revenue-generating services to market, while ensuring a positive customer experience from ordering to fulfillment, to billing. With the addition of Sigma’s offerings, including service catalog management, order management and provisioning/activation, Convergys can enable service providers to deliver complex service bundles while reducing their operational costs.
