QualiSystems Delivers Integrated Test Automation and Lab Management Solution

During recent “On the Road” video series in San Jose, Calif., TMC’s CEO Rich Tehrani met with Michael Yaeger, director of sales, North America, QualiSystems (News - Alert). Welcoming Yaeger to TMC’s “On the Road” newsroom, Tehrani asked Yaeger to tell TMCnet readers what his company does.

 In reply, QualiSystems’ director of sales said, “We are an enterprise software company with global presence and based in Israel… We offer test automation and lab management software,” added Yaeger.

Next, Tehrani asked Yaeger to talk about who are QualiSystems’ typical customers? According to the sales director, “Any one that has manufacturing hardware or using hardware to provide service is a potential customer.”

Going forward, Tehrani was interested in hearing about some of the challenges confronting QualiSystems’ customers. Responding to this question, Yaeger said that the biggest challenge today is the increasing time and budgets in testing efforts. The biggest driver for that is ever increasing complexity of product, added Yaeger. Hence, he continued, “They need to test more and more to improve product quality.”

Furthermore, Tehrani asked Yaeger to describe specific industries that his company was working with. To that, Yaeger said “One of the key industries we are working with is networking… In that entire ecosystem, where semiconductor vendors provide silicon to networking equipment manufacturers who, in turn, provide networking systems to service providers and carriers… We can solve test problems of all those vendors in the entire ecosystem,” noted Yaeger.

Another question posed by Tehrani was how this market has been changing in last couple of years. According to Yaeger, “One big interesting thing is that with growing complexity, vendors are trying to build new labs with new equipments so that they can do more with less.” Since these new equipments cost a lot, users are looking for substantial improvement in lab management to get the best efficiency from these equipments,” stated Yaeger. “We can help them to improve lab management and get better utilization of their expensive equipments. Plus, added Yaeger, “We can help them to efficiently set-up their lab, as well as enable resource sharing.”  In fact, while discussing this problem, Yaeger highlighted a recent announcement that delivers an integrated test automation and lab management solution.

Continuing, Tehrani was next interested in knowing about QualiSystems global sales efforts. While the company is based in Ganey-Tikva, Israel, it has sales offices in North America, Germany, Japan, Singapore and China, stated Yaeger. Since last year, he continued, “We have been putting more emphasis on North America sales.”

Regarding what’s next, Yaeger was quick to brag about the integration of lab management with test automation.
